What if I don't have any of the skills listed above?

We would LOVE to help your separately from this clinic! We offer one on one consulting services that match you with the PERFECT college!

 

Do colleges really offer scholarships for cheerleading? 

YES! In fact MANY programs offer scholarships. The amounts range from $100 to full tuition, books, and even housing! The best way to find the perfect program for you is to research colleges. A great resource is College Cheer Guide's one on one College Cheerleading MATCH program. This is where we look at your wants/needs in college and we MATCH you with colleges that would be PERFECT for you!

 

Do I need to bring my own stunt group or partner?

No, However, we would like to encourage you to bring a stunt group/ partner or just friends from your squad. It will be easier for you to do more advance stunts with a group you are more comfortable with. 

 

What happens if NOONE brings a stunt group?

DON'T WORRY! Most people do NOT bring a stunt group and we've have had VERY successful GET RECRUITED Clinics over the past 4 years! We request that colleges bring a few of their cheerleaders to help you mak stunt groups as well as MALES for coed stunting!

 

Where exactly is the clinic located??

GET RECRUITED SOUTH TEXAS will be held at in the gymnasium of Blinn College. Exact directions and information will be in your confirmation e-mail. 

 

What can I expect to happen at the clinic?

First you will check in at the athlete table and receive your athlete number, sign any medical waivers (if you don't sign it virtually), receive contact information on the colleges attending. After all the athletes arrive, you will stretch while we introduce the colleges and coaches.  You will have a chance to warm- up all your jump and tumbling. Then we will begin the skills portion of the clinic. Starting with standing tumbling, Long Standing Tumbling, Jumps to Tumbling,  Running Tumbling, and then a open stunting session. After the skills portion you will rotate to each college table to introduce yourself and learn more about the colleges that are interested in RECRUITING YOU!

 

What colleges have attended in the past?

First of all we will list the colleges that are attending as soon as they RSVP. Please note that they are VERY busy and sometimes cannot commit until the last minute OR that their plans might change and they will have to cancel last minute. We work VERY hard to develop and maintain a working relationship with over 1,200 collegiate cheerleading coaches! NEW: WE NOW LIVESTREAM OUR CLINICS SO THAT COACHES THAT ARE UNABLE TO TRAVEL CAN NOW WATCH THE CLINIC FROM THEIR OFFICES!

There are two ways our amaing staff can still help you! We can off you one on one College Cheerleading Consulting services. OR If you make a skills video, we can play your skills video in your place! we will also play your video for our coaches attending via LIVESTREAM.
